Next day delivery

We want you to enjoy our smoked foods right away, so we offer a next day delivery service on all orders placed by 12 midday Monday to Thursday (we’ll deliver it Tuesday to Friday). We’re sorry, but any orders placed on a public or bank holiday will not be fulfilled until the next working day (generally a Tuesday, unless it’s Christmas), for delivery the day after (generally a Wednesday).

Delivery charges

Delivery is free on orders over £50. Other orders have a standard delivery charge of £6.50. For deliveries to Eire, Northern Ireland and Northern Scotland, extra charges will apply. If you order online, we’ll contact you directly to let you know if there is an extra cost when we receive your order (if you order by calling us on 01803 833 123, we’ll let you know the delivery charges right then and there).

Delivery arrangements

Delivery time with the courier is generally between 9am and 5.30pm. Don’t worry if you’re going to be out. We can still deliver even if no one is in. We’ll leave your order in a secure place. If you have a preferred place to leave your order (in the porch,with neighbours etc) you can do so when you checkout.

Our Packaging

Our packaging is made from 100% recyclable materials and is designed to keep your order cool and fresh from our smokehouse to your front door.

A note on gift orders

If you are sending your order as a gift, it is important to inform the recipient (we don’t want them to reject your lovely gift at the door). Please also note that when you fill in the delivery information, we require their correct postcode, telephone number and any delivery instructions if required.

Delivery queries

Very (very!) occasionally deliveries can be delayed or undelivered by the courier. Normally, delivery is between 9am and 5.30pm. Please advise us as soon as you have any questions at all. You will understand that if an incorrect address is given to us by the customer, we (Dartmouth Smokehouse) cannot be held responsible for any problem regarding its delivery.

Overseas orders

We’re sorry, but due to the fragile nature of our products, we are unable to send orders overseas.

Processing your order

We may call you to confirm and process the order. All credit and debit card transactions will be processed on receipt of your order.

Substitutions

In the unlikely event of any part of your order not being available, we will make substitutions of equal or higher value from our range. We hope that’s okay. All weights are approximate.

The photos on our website are a pretty good guide as to what is contained in each hamper, however, the written details will confirm for you the full contents of the hamper you are ordering.

Discounts and offers

Discounts and/or offers may not be used in conjunction with any other offers or discounts.

Product care

All products must be refrigerated and consumed within 3 days of opening and before the clearly marked use by date. Alternatively, they may be frozen for up to 3 months in a domestic freezer. Freeze on day of delivery, defrost for 24 hours in the refrigerator and use within 3 days of opening.
